After reading some of the reviews my husband and I were sceptical as whether to book here or not but we took a chance. Some people had a bad experience with the night clerk (some shared her name) so we prepared ourselves. As it turned out, the lady at the desk was cordial and very professional. She was working alone so you either needed your room key to enter or she let you in. While we were checking in, a customer was leaving out. Before the door closed another gentle walked in and the employee addressed his status. He was not a customer but needed water. The employee, Pima is her name, brought it to his attention that the hotel and all inside of it was for customers only. The gentleman quietly left. Seeing her address the issue made me feel safer and more comfortable about our stay. Our room was nice and the building was quiet for. Friday night which was also Veteran's Day. The bed is very firm but it was only for one night. Breakfast offered many choices except for the meat which was turkey sausage. Not a fan. Overall, this hotel was a good choice and we will definitely stay here again upon our return to Charlotte.

I only stayed here due to an airport voucher. They had no toiletry suppliesfor purchase. The room had no mouthwash either. I arrived late and the only food option is a vending machine. The breakfast was terrible not to add that the juice machine wasnt working. Best thing about this hotel was the airport shuttle.

The front desk person I hope I spell her name right it was Pima she was welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. She gave us Good advice on where to eat and things to do without us even having to ask which was surprising. Because most places you have to ask. She was the best desk clerk I have ever came acroas. She is a jewel to this establishment. She is an asset and needs to be recognized if she hasn't been already. Employees that do a great job and don't mind helping people are hard to find so hold on to her. The hotel it's was a good place to stay with a great the price. Worth the money. Even though it wasn't brand new they take great care of this place. Clean and a nice area to eat breakfast. The rooms were big spacious with comfy beds, clean sheets, and it had microwave/fridge in room. My husband works for Terminix so we always check hotel rooms for bed bugs and this place had no bugs at all . I say this because we have stayed all over and even the nicer places have had them. It was a Great place to stay. The only thing I thought needed improvement was the sausage at breakfast, they need to cook them differently. But it was a free breakfast so why would I complain. Make sure you are at breakfast at least 30 minutes prior to it closing to get a good selection. Thanks to all the staff at Wingate for all you do to keep you place nice and running daily. Room was big spacious and clean. Nice comfy big beds.

During my stay on 3-4 March 2023, there was an incident with someone having access to my room at 7:30 a.m. I was initially told the manager was going to call me. As of today, 7 March 2023, I have not received a call. When I checked out, the desk clerk called the manager and said they would refund my account but needed my credit card because I paid through a 3rd party. I was later "charged" 1 cent on my credit card and was not credited for my stay. Also the clerk initally said housekeeping was not working and would not be entering my room. She later said they may have tried to enter early because the hotel was fully booked. My question was why would housekeeping try to enter my room at 7:30 a.m.? I felt violated. The person could not enter my room because I had the security latch on the door. However, they left the door unlocked. I was in the bathroom at the time it happened. Now I have to get a replacement credit card because they didn't follow through on their word and they have my credit card information. Regarding the room, it was nice and clean. The water did not get hot but it was warm. The hotel also has a nice gym that is open 24 hours. Had it not been for the incident, I would have given it 4 or 5 stars.

Rooms are large with plenty of furnishings. The Continental Breakfast is great. The price was good for all they offer. There is a gym, office area, pool, and snack room. If you follow my reviews you know I rarely give a five review, but this place deserves it.

We had the most unfortunate experience of encountering the most unwelcoming and rude staff at Spark by Hilton on Tyvola in Charlotte, NC. After reserving a room through their app, my husband and I were shocked to be informed by the front desk staff that local residents were not allowed to stay at their hotel. Not only was this policy discriminatory, but the manner in which it was conveyed to us was downright rude. The attendant( Millie) we dealt with was incredibly disrespectful, and her colleague was no better. Their attitudes were dismissive and condescending from the moment we walked in. When we asked for an explanation as to why we couldn't stay there despite having made a reservation, the situation escalated unnecessarily. The general manager, Tom Blanton, instead of addressing our concerns professionally, resorted to threatening to call the police on us. This treatment is unacceptable and completely unbecoming of a hospitality establishment, especially one associated with a reputable brand like Hilton. It's clear that the staff at Spark by Hilton on Tyvola lack the basic principles of customer service and hospitality. I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel if you value being treated with respect and dignity.

This hotel is so beautiful. It's recently remodeled and so convenient to the interstate literally not even 400ft of the exit ramp. The staff has been so kind, generous and accommodating. Especially Chasity she was who checked us in and she was so kind after a long day of being on the road. Id recommend this hotel to anyone. The beds are soft and clean with even softer sheets. 10/10

Not what I expected but I enjoyed it..the room was huge as well as the best. Probably took me 3 minutes to fall asleep. Slept until 11:30 (which I rarely do). I'm glad it wasn't the day I had to check out. Hahahah The woman who checked me in (older woman, wore a nice purple outfit) was nice and explained everything like she wrote the book. She gets an A on customer service. It was relatively quiet with the exception of one room. But I only heard them when I walked down the hallway the next morning. They weren't arguing. Just laughing loud no problem, actually. Nice gym and pool..wanted to go swimming but it was sprinkling that day. But was glad it was a clean and available. The bad (and I don't put this on the staff). The hot Breakfast consisted of bagels, fruit and cold cereal. The market doesn't give you many options like other Hilton Hotels. Hilton can do some work on the hotel in terms of renovations, though. Nothing real bad, I just expect more from a Hilton Hotel. Good neighborhood/location. I used to live in Charlotte from 1993-1996)... actually 5 minutes from Spark.

Being a diamond member and always staying at different hotels I was impressed with the coziness of this hotel. This is a newly renovated hotel and very clean. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The rooms were perfect with a nice size fridge, very comfortable bed, modern bathroom and big TV.i enjoyed breakfast every morning with fresh bagels and home feeling in eating area. Location of hotel is perfect next to highway and close to all attractions. Will definitely stay here again.

I had a brief stay here following an unexpected overnight airport delay. The accommodations were incredibly basic but everything was very clean and safe. The staff was also incredibly kind and helpful with check in, going above and beyond.

This hotel was remodeled from a Wyndham to a Hilton in the past year. Nice upgrades to the art and decor, beds were always comfy, and hotel is peaceful. Tv was larger and upgraded. Our fridge was slowly defrosting so it ruined our leftovers so I don't think they upgraded those yet. What isn't nearly as great was the breakfast. It is only packaged muffins and bagels now when previously there was a waffle iron, toast, cereal, assorted pastries and fruit on top of the bagels. More expensive for less perks. Honestly I would still recommend and stay there again myself as well.

Perfect location for our daughters wedding! Other family was staying at the Marriott and they didn't have power or hot water for showers! (Unfortunately, hurricane Helene came through the day before the wedding) we had power and hot water. Our daughter was able to come to our room for her hair and makeup to be done before the wedding. Room was clean and nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable to sleep in. We were so thankful for a safe, clean, and well appointed room.

My first stay at a Spark by Hilton. The staff was very polite and accommodating during check-in. The lobby and breakfast area was large and clean. Breakfast consisted of bagels, fruit, yogurt and cereal. Having bagel a bagel bar was different but nice. The room was large and sheets were very soft. I would definitely stay at this location again.

This was our first time staying at Spark Hilton and it was a great experience! I like that it is located slightly out of the city, so its quiet and just a short 10-15 min drive to anything downtown. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the bed was super comfortable! The complimentary bagel bar was great and we loved the 24 hour market and coffee bar. I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone staying a weekend in charlotte, it was perfect for the occasion.

Arrived early and greeted a very nice lady worked in front counter on Tuesday. She found a room available that allowed me for early check-in. Everything looked good and bed was comfortable. Convenient closed to CLT Airport and downtown. No hot breakfast but had other breakfast items. For the price compared with other surrounded hotels, it is reasonable.
