1st room I was given smelled of cigarettes so bad I couldn't go past the door. Bathroom wasn't clean, towels and bedding were really poor quality and in need of replacement. Breakfast selection was pretty dismal. Used to love this hotel - not so much now. UPDATE: Pleasant surprise - I was contacted by a Hampton Inn representative who apologized for the poor experience I had and it looks like some or all of the room charge will be refunded. It's nice to know that some companies still listen. UPDATE: Hampton Inn followed through on the refund so increasing to 3 stars for great customer service. I will consider other HI properties in the future.

Service was very rude and belittling, they behaved as if you were bothering them by asking for basics. Example: I asked for a coffee machine for my room which we never got and was told I could get coffee 'down here, in the morning'. It was said like, I was being told when they would permit it. Even though my request was kind & clearly understood that I wanted to make some in my room that evening. I did not ask for anything special, that wouldn't be done for any guest. Later I returned to the "snack shop" which was almost completely empty; there were no snack machines, just vending machine drinks. When it was my turn, I approached the desk with my items, all 3 employees carried on about a 15 min. conversation after tell me a total & while in possession of my credit card I had to hand them because they said 'had to be put in manually' and *before letting me swipe it first...?* I stood there (during the 15 mins.) Waiting for a receipt & my card back; my fiance was concerned with how long I was gone and called me on a video to check on me & heard how unprofessional they were being and said he would come down stairs and drive me to a store if I wanted him to. I again politely, verbalized my concern with how long it was taking. I finally heard typing/sounds of processing -- Only AFTER asking to get my card back (thinking it was a machine issue) and said they could just charge it to our room (different card on file) if it was easier. no receipt, but it did go through and my card was given back. Thankfully my bank sent a normal transaction alert from my bank while I was entering the room with the snacks I purchased. Unfortunately, I had to call downstairs immediately to inform them that I was overcharged for the items I just purchased downstairs. Previously nothing seemed odd about manually inputting my card until I was overcharged which took multiple requests correct. That is why I have 1 star on service.

My stay this past weekend was perfect . Upon arrival my room was ready. The shuttle drivers were professional and courteous. My whole stay the desk clerks professional and helpful and information concerning places to eat. We'll come back again when in the area

Very nice and clean rooms. The staff was stellar. Carlita, at the front desk, was like a ray of sunshine. She is exactly who needs to be working that front desk. She told us where to go to eat supper and was super friendly and witty with a perfect warm personality! The breakfast was good and hot.

I paid for short-term parking and a shuttle service but I was not picked up from the airport for my return flight. I called and was told 15-20 minutes and was instructed to give my number to call if they couldn't find me in the shuttle area. I did attempt to ask a shuttle driver from another Hilton-associated hotel about the situation but he said they weren't with this Hampton. I waited for an hour (watching the same shuttles from other services come around twice) before giving up and getting a taxi to the Hampton instead. I had a 3-hour drive afterwards and I didn't appreciate the delay. The shuttle for my departure was prompt and excellent, no issues. The room was clean and sufficient. It's close enough to the airport that you can hear planes passing overhead frequently, but unless you're a very light sleeper it fades into the background.
