After dropping the team off and cleaning my bus my key for the room did not work. The gentleman at the front desk assisted my with great pleasures and was able to get me another room. I thanked him dearly, he was so nice and very professional and was such a wonderful person. I recommend anyone to this hotel, was a wonderful experience for me staying in Charlotte, NC for the first time

The staff was mostly friendly, but I was very disappointed with my stay. Apparently, the heating and air system stopped working on multiple floors a day or two before we showed up for our reservation and the room that I had reserved and already paid for, in full, was unavailable. They put us in a new room, but I was never made aware of the issue! I never received a phone call or email that let me know about, or would prepare me for the room change!! I was very upset that they made this change without letting me know. If I had known, I would have changed my reservation to a different hotel. But once we arrived, it was too late to change hotels, because they told us it would take several days to get our money back if we decided to leave. I felt trapped. The only thing that they did to try and make the situation better, was offering to add points to my account for one free night, (that had to used at a different time) but I never even received those. I would not recommend this hotel.

This stay was very nice. The pool was being maintenanced or something while we were here so that was a bummer but the breakfast was incredible. I love how close it is to everything, there are many stores nearby to pickup whatever you need as well as many restaurants to choose from. The water pressure has outdone most hotels I've been to. It was nice. The staff was super helpful and friendly.

Everything was great with the exception of the Cooke to order breakfast. The front desk staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Extremely personable. The rooms were very clean and well maintained The public areas were the same. Now for the breakfast experience. When I arrived to breakfast at around 9am. There was a line of people patiently waiting at the egg station with the understanding that the griddle was only operating on one side. About 1/2 way through the line, they decided to close the griddle all together leaving everyone that had been patiently standing in line to have waited in vain. The crumbled bacon was sitting in about an inch of grease. The French toast was cold. The oatmeal and grits were the consistency of thin gravy. The icing on the cake, no coffee. When I informed the hostess of the fact that there was no coffee, she walked over to the pots, pulled the lever to confirm and simply said yep and walked back to talk to what I assume was her boyfriend. Who, she had been talking to the entire time we were there. Never lifted a finger to help her team mates. I had to track someone else down and inform them that they were out of coffee. I travel extensively for work and have stayed at Embassy Suites all over the USA. I stay exclusively at Embassy Suites, primarily for the breakfast, I have to say, this is the worst experience Ive ever had. Also, my digital key never worked while I was at the hotel. It never recognized that I was at the door.

Nice but not your traditional Embassy Suites. People all on top of each other for breakfast and evening reception. The two main reasons for visiting embassy suites, and regardless of your Honors status you cant get a late checkout. The staff needs some hospitality training
